  • Little Switzerland / Humber Bridge Country Park

Went out today with another user of this forum to see if we could get some pictures for Dove House whilst stretching the puppies legs. Forgot how cool it is in there. Another world. Hard to believe a major railway and road run next to it. Took some photos to share.

Think im going to play with this image in photoshop.

A lovely hour or so out really. Even nicer in summer when you can sit and have a pint.

lol. No. I think your mistaken, I've never seen anything like that there.. But to be fair I wouldn't really recommend wandering around the park at night. Remember parking up there one night with some friends near the lifeboat station and turning round to see someone hiding behind the bumper. Soon ran away when I hit the brakes.

It used to be at one time same as the car park just round that bend near Dunstons ship yard, I used to play rugby there a long time ago, Thankfully the Police sorted that out

When the depth of water in the main is at the right level you can see water oozing out of the ground from the springs that feed these ponds. They're also apparently full of fish...........
After the 2007 floods (about 2 months after I think.....) I was in the park near the ponds and the tide mark from the flood had to be seen to be believed.......it went six foot or so into the bushes surrounding the ponds.........would have liked to have seen a picture of that.
